Nutrition Intervention for Lead Exposure
Lowering blood lead levels and lead absorption is advanced by remedying nutritional deficiencies of iron, calcium, Vitamin C, and zinc. Furthermore, the brains of children that are in better health are more able to respond to learning and cognitive stimulation. The CDC's recommendations for children with lead exposure are to consume bioavailable calcium and iron and at least two servings daily of foods high in vitamin C, such as fruits, vegetables.
